Zara Larsson

Zara Maria Larsson (Swedish: [ˈsɑ̂ːra ˈlɑ̌ːʂɔn] ; born 16 December 1997) is a Swedish singer and songwriter. She first rose to prominence in 2008 after winning the second season of Talang, the Swedish version of the Got Talent format. In 2012, Larsson signed with the record label TEN Music Group and subsequently released her debut extended play (EP), Introducing, in January 2013. The EP was supported by Larsson's first original single, "Uncover", which charted at number one in Sweden and Norway, being certified 6× Platinum in the former. Her debut studio album, 1, saw a limited release in Sweden, Denmark and Norway in 2014, and contains the Swedish top-ten singles "Carry You Home" and "Rooftop". After her success in Scandinavia, Larsson signed a three-year contract with Epic Records in the United States. Her debut international album and second overall, So Good, was released in March 2017. It became her second number one album in Sweden, while charting in the top ten in multiple other countries, and at number 26 on the US Billboard 200. The album's lead single, "Lush Life", reached the top five on record charts in 18 countries, and became one of the best selling songs of the 2010s in the United Kingdom. Other commercially successful singles from the album include "Never Forget You" (with MNEK), "Ain't My Fault", "I Would Like", and "So Good". Larsson's 2017 collaboration with British electronic music group Clean Bandit, "Symphony", became her first number one song in the United Kingdom, while also topping the charts in Sweden and Norway. Her third studio album, the Scandipop-influenced Poster Girl, followed in March 2021, led by the single "Ruin My Life", which earned certifications in nine countries. The album's third single, "Wow", was certified Gold in the United States, and spawned a remix with American singer Sabrina Carpenter. In June 2022, Larsson left TEN Music Group and acquired her music catalogue. Her fourth studio album, Venus, was released in February 2024 under Epic Records and her own label, Sommer House. Exploring dance-pop and Europop, its singles "Can't Tame Her" and "On My Love" (with David Guetta) achieved commercial success, being certified gold or platinum in numerous countries. Larsson's fifth studio album, Midnight Sun, was released in September 2025 to widespread critical acclaim. Its title track achieved commercial success, becoming her fifth entry on the US Billboard Hot 100, and earned Larsson her first Grammy Award nomination for Best Dance Pop Recording.
